Mipler — Advanced Reports vs TSE (KassenSichV)for Shopify (2026)
Mipler — Advanced Reports and TSE (KassenSichV) serve drastically different purposes despite both being listed under the 'Finances' category on Shopify. Mipler is a comprehensive reporting and analytics tool designed to give merchants deep insights into their store's performance. It boasts a high rating and many reviews, highlighting its user-friendliness and powerful features for creating custom reports, visualizing data, and sharing insights. Its key strengths lie in its flexibility to use metafields and tags in reports, AI assistance, and the ability to schedule and share reports easily. On the other hand, TSE (KassenSichV) is a niche app specifically tailored for German retailers needing to comply with the KassenSichV regulation, which mandates connecting electronic cash registers to a technical security system. Its low rating and limited reviews likely stem from its highly specific use case and potentially a smaller user base. Its value proposition is solely focused on facilitating compliance through recording and exporting POS transactions for tax reporting. The app's features are geared towards activating and deactivating TSE per location, exporting data in required formats, and ensuring receipts are compliant for audits.

Our Verdict
Mipler — Advanced Reports is the clear choice for Shopify merchants who need comprehensive reporting and analytics capabilities. It's a versatile tool suitable for a wide range of businesses seeking to understand their data better and make informed decisions. The AI Assistant and the ability to use metafields and tags make it a powerful option for customization and in-depth analysis.
TSE (KassenSichV) is only relevant to a very specific subset of Shopify merchants: German retailers mandated to comply with KassenSichV regulations. If your business operates outside of Germany or is not subject to these regulations, this app is irrelevant. However, for those who need it, it’s a necessity, although its lower rating should prompt careful investigation into its functionality and support before committing.
