Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC vs Outfy ‑ Social Media Auto Postfor Shopify (2026)
Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC and Outfy - Social Media Auto Post both fall under the 'Images and media' and 'Video and livestream' categories on the Shopify App Store, but they cater to distinct merchant needs. Moast focuses on leveraging video and user-generated content (UGC) to directly enhance the on-site shopping experience. Its strength lies in making content interactive and shoppable, likely targeting merchants aiming to boost conversion rates through engaging product showcases. Outfy, on the other hand, prioritizes automating social media posting, streamlining content distribution across various platforms. The fundamental difference lies in their purpose: Moast is about improving on-site engagement and sales through video, while Outfy is about enhancing off-site brand visibility and driving traffic back to the store. Moast, with a perfect 5/5 rating, suggests high satisfaction, although based on a smaller sample size of 107 reviews. Outfy, while having a slightly lower rating of 4.7/5, boasts a significantly larger review base of 399, indicating wider adoption and a more established presence in the market. This contrast underscores different strategic focuses: one on optimizing the shopping journey and the other on managing social media outreach. The year is 2026, so assume merchants are increasingly discerning about automation solutions (like Outfy) while placing heightened focus on authentic, engaging, video content (like Moast) to stand out.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing enhancing the on-site shopping experience with engaging and interactive video content, and seeking to leverage authentic user-generated content, Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC is the better choice. Its perfect rating, despite the smaller review count, suggests a highly effective solution for this specific purpose. This will be extremely important as more merchants invest in high-quality, shoppable video experiences.
On the other hand, if a merchant's primary goal is to streamline their social media marketing efforts by automating posts across various platforms and driving off-site traffic, Outfy - Social Media Auto Post is the more suitable option. The larger review count indicates broader adoption and established reliability. While its rating is slightly lower, the increased quantity of reviews suggests more widespread use and potentially better support documentation and community resources. The choice depends entirely on where the merchant wants to focus their marketing efforts: on-site conversion or off-site brand awareness.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing on-site conversion rates?
Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC is specifically designed to make videos shoppable, directly linking products featured in videos to purchase options. This makes it more effective for increasing on-site conversion rates.
Which app is better for managing a broad social media presence?
Outfy - Social Media Auto Post automates the process of posting content across multiple social media platforms, making it ideal for managing a broad social media presence and driving traffic back to the store.
Which app requires more initial content creation?
Moast requires more initial content creation, specifically high-quality video content and potentially curation of user-generated content. Outfy can leverage existing content or rely on automated curation features.
Is one app 'easier' to use than the other?
It depends on the merchant's priorities. Moast might have a simpler initial setup focusing on on-site integration, but Outfy might offer more complex social media automation features, requiring a steeper learning curve if aiming for in-depth utilization. The review counts suggest Outfy is more complex to operate.
If I had to pick only ONE app based on long term strategy, which should I choose?
It depends on the long-term marketing strategy. If the goal is deeper customer engagement and sales boosts directly in the store, Moast is the better bet as it caters to this long-term trend. If social media scale and efficiency are the core long-term drivers, Outfy will be the better choice, however as time goes on, AI improvements will automate many social tasks anyway so Moast likely is the stronger long-term bet.
