Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC vs Promo.com ‑ Promo Video Makerfor Shopify (2026)
Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC and Promo.com ‑ Promo Video Maker both aim to empower Shopify merchants with video content, but they cater to different needs and approaches. Moast focuses on leveraging existing user-generated content and creating interactive, shoppable videos. This strategy allows merchants to build trust through authentic customer experiences and drive direct sales from the video itself. Promo.com, on the other hand, emphasizes rapid video creation using templates and automation. Its strength lies in quickly producing professional-looking marketing videos for various platforms, even without extensive video editing skills. Promo.com's key differentiator is its 'minute-made' approach, offering a range of templates designed to cater to diverse business goals like product promotion, brand awareness, and social media engagement. Merchants looking for quick, easily deployable videos for marketing campaigns may find Promo.com more suitable. Moast's focus, however, is more on authenticity and engaging existing customers. The 'shoppable' aspect suggests a greater emphasis on embedding products directly within the video experience, potentially offering a higher conversion rate for those who invest in curating UGC and creating interactive videos.

Our Verdict
If your priority is quickly creating professional-looking marketing videos for various platforms, especially if you lack video editing expertise, Promo.com is likely the better choice. Its template-driven approach and focus on speed make it ideal for driving brand awareness and promoting specific products. However, if you're aiming to leverage the power of user-generated content and build trust by showcasing authentic customer experiences, Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC is more aligned with your goals. The shoppability aspect also offers the potential for higher conversion rates for merchants willing to invest in curating UGC and creating interactive videos.
Essentially, Promo.com is a broad marketing tool, while Moast is a more focused, trust-building, sales-oriented tool, assuming one has a good source of UGC and an understanding of interactive video best practices.
Common Questions
What is the main difference between shoppable videos and promotional videos?
Shoppable videos allow viewers to directly purchase products featured within the video, whereas promotional videos are designed to increase brand awareness and generate interest in a product or service without direct purchasing capabilities within the video itself.
Which app is easier to use for a beginner with no video editing experience?
Promo.com's template-based approach makes it significantly easier for beginners to create professional-looking videos quickly without any prior video editing experience. Moast may require more curation and understanding of user-generated content and shoppable video functionality.
Which app is better for leveraging user-generated content (UGC)?
Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC is specifically designed to leverage user-generated content, making it the clear choice for merchants looking to incorporate customer testimonials and authentic experiences into their video marketing strategy.
Does one app offer a better return on investment (ROI)?
It depends on the merchant's specific goals. If fast video production and broad marketing reach are the priorities, Promo.com might provide a quicker ROI. If building trust and driving direct sales through UGC are the objectives, Moast's shoppable video feature could lead to a higher ROI, though it may require more initial effort.
Which app is better for small businesses with limited marketing budgets?
Without pricing information, it's impossible to say definitively. However, Promo.com's template-based system might be more efficient in terms of time investment, which could indirectly reduce costs for small businesses with limited resources. Thorough pricing comparisons are crucial.
