Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC vs SmartBN: Banner Sliderfor Shopify (2026)
Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC and SmartBN: Banner Slider are both Shopify apps designed to enhance a store's visual appeal, falling under the 'Images and Media' category. However, they cater to distinctly different needs. Moast appears to focus on leveraging video and user-generated content (UGC) to create a shoppable experience. Its 5/5 rating with 107 reviews suggests high satisfaction and a focus on direct sales integration with videos. SmartBN: Banner Slider, on the other hand, focuses on creating dynamic banner sliders with both images and videos, improving general store visuals and highlighting promotions or key products. The lower rating of 3.6/5 and fewer reviews (51) indicate potentially lower satisfaction or a more niche appeal. Moast's strength lies in its potential to directly influence purchasing decisions through shoppable video content, suggesting a focus on conversion rate optimization. SmartBN excels at creating aesthetically pleasing and informative banner displays, allowing merchants to showcase multiple products or offers in a rotating format. The bulk upload feature suggests a focus on efficiency for stores with a large catalog or frequent promotions. Ultimately, Moast aims to turn viewers into shoppers, while SmartBN focuses on general brand enhancement and visual appeal.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily invested in video marketing and leveraging user-generated content to drive sales, Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC is the clear winner, supported by its higher rating and positive reviews. Its focus on shoppability provides a direct pathway to conversion. If you plan to create lots of video content to directly drive sales and customer engagement, Moast should be the first choice.
However, if your priority is to create visually appealing banner sliders to showcase multiple products or promotions, and you have a large number of banners to upload, SmartBN: Banner Slider is more suitable, especially with its bulk upload feature. However, be aware of the lower ratings and potentially higher learning curve. SmartBN might be the right choice if you're primarily focused on overall visuals to show a wide range of products, but don't have specific video content that needs a shoppable focus.
Common Questions
Which app is better for improving conversion rates directly through video?
Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC is likely better, as its primary focus appears to be on creating shoppable video experiences.
Which app is easier to use for someone with no coding experience?
Based on the higher rating, Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC likely has a more user-friendly interface. SmartBN has 'embedded code' which could be daunting to beginners.
Which app offers better support for mobile optimization?
SmartBN's description explicitly states it works beautifully on all devices (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile). Moast's mobile optimization is not explicitly mentioned but is generally expected of modern Shopify apps.
If I have a lot of banners or images I want to add to my store, which app is better?
SmartBN is better because of the bulk upload feature. Moast does not mention any upload-specific features.
Which app is better for a dropshipping store with a wide range of products?
SmartBN might be better to show a range of products and rotating promotions, but the lower rating raises questions. If high-quality video is part of the dropshipping store's strategy, Moast could be used, but the value proposition here is less clear without product-focused videos.
