Mobile App Banner ‑ Shopney vs Pin Generatorfor Shopify (2026)
Mobile App Banner - Shopney and Pin Generator are both marketing apps on the Shopify platform, but they cater to vastly different needs. Mobile App Banner focuses on driving traffic to a mobile app version of your store, aiming to increase app installs and engagement. Pin Generator, on the other hand, is laser-focused on streamlining Pinterest marketing, enabling merchants to quickly generate and schedule pins for their products. Pin Generator boasts features like automated title and description filling, bulk scheduling, and customizable pin design (image/video support, brand customization). Mobile App Banner's functionality is not described other than enabling mobile app banners. Pin Generator is clearly geared towards merchants who are actively investing in Pinterest as a sales channel. The major differentiator between the two lies in their core functionality: one promotes a mobile app, and the other automates Pinterest marketing. The review counts, while currently small, offer some insight. Mobile App Banner has a perfect 5/5 rating, but with only 44 reviews. Pin Generator has a slightly lower rating of 4.5/5 but fewer reviews with 23. Ultimately, the choice will depend heavily on whether the merchant is looking to promote a mobile app or leverage Pinterest marketing.

Our Verdict
The choice between Mobile App Banner - Shopney and Pin Generator hinges entirely on your business goals. If you have a mobile app and are looking to drive downloads and engagement, Mobile App Banner is the logical choice, assuming it delivers on its promise effectively. If you are focused on expanding your reach and sales through Pinterest, Pin Generator appears to be the more suitable option due to its pin generation and scheduling features.
Given the lack of detailed information about Mobile App Banner's specific functionalities beyond promoting app banners, Pin Generator offers a clearer and more feature-rich solution for its intended purpose. Merchants heavily invested in Pinterest marketing will likely find Pin Generator's automation capabilities more immediately valuable. However, the high rating for the Mobile App Banner app is a strong point in its favour and further investigation of the specific app banner features is warranted.
