Our Verdict
Shop2App is the clear choice for enterprise brands aiming to create a powerful mobile app experience to directly drive sales and engagement within that app ecosystem. The focus on customization, personalized journeys, and dedicated support makes it well-suited for brands seeking a comprehensive mobile strategy. It is a much bigger commitment.
Stockist excels for merchants who want to leverage their physical presence to complement their online store. If your business depends on directing customers to brick-and-mortar locations, retailers, or dealers, and increasing in-store sales is a priority, then Stockist is the more logical choice. While both fall under the “Selling in person” category, they address different aspects of that category.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Stockist likely has a simpler setup process due to its focused function of creating a store locator. Shop2App, being a mobile app builder, involves more customization and design considerations, although it offers white-glove service.
If I only have an online store, which app is more suitable?
Neither app is directly suitable for a purely online store. Shop2App technically could be used, but its value is limited without a mobile app strategy. If you have no in-person presence, Stockist is useless.
Which app provides more detailed analytics?
Stockist provides analytics focused on search queries and customer location data related to finding stores. Shop2App provides analytics pertaining to mobile app usage, conversions, and customer behavior within the app, if you purchase those premium features.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, yes, but it might be redundant. You could use Shop2App to build a mobile app and then integrate Stockist's store locator within that app, but it might make more sense to build a store locator into your mobile app, instead of using a third party.
Which app is more focused on customer retention?
Shop2App is significantly more focused on customer retention, given its features like personalized customer journeys, segmented experiences, and in-app subscription portals designed to keep users engaged within the mobile app environment. Stockist is primarily focused on guiding online users to offline locations.
