Mockey AI ‑ Mockup Generator vs Smart Stories | Video Storyfor Shopify (2026)
Mockey AI ‑ Mockup Generator and Smart Stories | Video Story are both Shopify apps listed under the 'Images and media - Other' category, however, they cater to very different needs. Mockey AI aims to provide mockup generation, a service that would allow merchants to visualize their products on various backgrounds or with different elements, although this cannot be explicitly verified due to a lack of reviews and information. Smart Stories | Video Story, on the other hand, is focused on enabling merchants to create and publish Instagram-like video stories directly on their Shopify store. It emphasizes shoppable video stories, UGC, and automated story creation from existing product images and videos.

Our Verdict
Based on the available data, Smart Stories | Video Story seems like a more viable option for merchants in 2026. The 5-star rating and 9 reviews suggest positive user experiences and functionality. Its focus on video stories, shoppability, and data tracking aligns well with the evolving e-commerce landscape. It would particularly benefit merchants actively using video marketing or wanting to increase engagement and sales through visual storytelling.
Mockey AI ‑ Mockup Generator, with its lack of reviews and unclear functionality, is a riskier choice. Until more information and user feedback become available, it's difficult to assess its value. Merchants specifically requiring mockup generation might consider exploring alternative, more established apps with verifiable features and positive ratings.
