Modular Blocks: Theme Sections vs Pagetify Landing Page Builderfor Shopify (2026)
Modular Blocks: Theme Sections and Pagetify Landing Page Builder both operate within the Shopify page builder category, but cater to vastly different needs and possess significantly different levels of established trust. Modular Blocks focuses on enhancing existing themes with customizable theme blocks, offering features like animated buttons, size guides, and popups. It appears to be designed for merchants looking for quick and easy additions to their existing theme without extensive page customization. Pagetify, on the other hand, is a full-fledged landing page builder that empowers merchants to create entire store pages from scratch using a drag-and-drop interface and pre-made templates. The primary differentiator lies in the scope of functionality and user experience. Modular Blocks aims to augment existing pages with specific interactive elements, whereas Pagetify provides a comprehensive page building experience. Pagetify's emphasis on user-friendliness, pre-made sections, and integrations with other popular Shopify apps (Judgeme, Loox, Klaviyo, etc.) positions it as a powerful tool for creating high-converting store pages. The contrasting user reception, reflected in the ratings and number of reviews, underscores the difference in market adoption and perceived value between the two apps.

Our Verdict
Pagetify Landing Page Builder is the more robust and highly recommended option for merchants looking to overhaul their store's design and create dedicated landing pages to boost conversions. Its positive reviews, extensive features, and integration capabilities make it a superior choice. While Modular Blocks: Theme Sections aims to provide quick enhancements, its lack of reviews and limited functionality compared to Pagetify make it a riskier investment.
However, if a merchant ONLY needs a few quick, interactive elements and is comfortable working within the existing theme editor with minimal code, Modular Blocks *could* be considered, but only after thorough testing and validation. For most merchants, particularly those focused on building a professional and conversion-optimized storefront, Pagetify is the clear winner.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use for someone with no coding experience?
Pagetify is designed to be user-friendly with its drag-and-drop interface, making it ideal for users with no coding experience. While Modular Blocks claims to need no code, it requires familiarity with the Shopify theme editor.
Which app is better for creating a custom home page?
Pagetify is significantly better for creating a custom home page. Its page builder functionality and pre-made templates allow for complete design control. Modular Blocks is only suitable for adding small elements to an existing page.
Which app is more likely to improve conversion rates?
Pagetify is more likely to improve conversion rates due to its focus on SEO optimization, page speed, pre-made sections designed for conversions, and A/B testing capabilities (presumably present in a full page builder like this).
Does Modular Blocks require a specific theme?
The listing doesn't explicitly state a theme requirement, but it integrates *with* the theme editor suggesting it is not theme-independent and must have compatible sections. Pagetify claims compatibility with any theme.
Which app is a bigger commitment of time and resources?
Pagetify represents a larger commitment of time and resources as it involves designing and building entire pages. Modular Blocks should be quicker to implement, though the resulting benefits may be smaller as well.
