Moneybird Bookkeeping focuses on integrating Shopify with the Moneybird accounting platform, aiming to automate data exchange between the two to eliminate double work and reduce errors. Our Verdict
The choice between Moneybird Bookkeeping and Tax Rex depends entirely on the merchant's needs. If a merchant needs to integrate their Shopify store with the Moneybird accounting system, then Moneybird Bookkeeping is the only option of the two. However, its low rating and limited number of reviews suggest caution. For US-based merchants struggling with the complexities of sales tax, Tax Rex is the clear winner. Its high rating, numerous positive reviews, and comprehensive feature set make it a reliable solution for automating sales tax compliance.
Therefore, Tax Rex is generally the stronger recommendation unless the merchant is specifically tied to using Moneybird accounting software. Even then, due diligence and careful consideration of the app's limitations are advised given the limited user feedback.
