MontPrice ‑ Price Monitoring vs Singleton | Advanced Discountsfor Shopify (2026)
MontPrice ‑ Price Monitoring and Singleton | Advanced Discounts both fall under the 'Pricing - Other' category on the Shopify app store, but cater to very different merchant needs. MontPrice focuses on competitive pricing intelligence, aiming to help merchants track competitor prices, receive alerts on price changes, and analyze market trends to optimize their pricing strategy for maximum profit. Its primary value proposition centers around data-driven pricing decisions. In contrast, Singleton | Advanced Discounts is a discount management tool designed to incentivize customers to buy more by creating various automatic or code-based discounts, including volume discounts and targeted offers for specific customer segments. The most immediate difference lies in their social proof. Singleton | Advanced Discounts boasts a perfect 5/5 rating based on 31 reviews, indicating a positive user experience. MontPrice, however, currently has no ratings or reviews, which presents a significant risk for merchants considering adoption. This lack of feedback makes it difficult to assess the app's usability, reliability, and effectiveness in achieving its stated goals. The two apps address distinctly different parts of the pricing equation: MontPrice handles external competitive data, while Singleton focuses on internal promotion and sales strategy.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with understanding and reacting to competitor pricing strategies to maximize profit margins, MontPrice ‑ Price Monitoring *could* be useful – but the complete lack of reviews makes it a risky choice in 2026. The potential benefits depend entirely on the app delivering on its promises of accurate competitor price tracking and effective data analysis.
Singleton | Advanced Discounts, on the other hand, is a much safer bet for merchants wanting to actively drive sales through a variety of discount strategies. The positive reviews indicate a potentially user-friendly and effective tool for creating and managing discounts aimed at different customer segments or product categories. If your priority is creating incentives and increasing sales volume, Singleton is the clear choice, given its established positive reputation.
