MP Google Shopping Feed vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
MP Google Shopping Feed and Selling Point address entirely different needs for Shopify merchants in 2026. MP Google Shopping Feed focuses on enhancing product visibility and sales through Google Shopping by simplifying feed creation, management, and optimization. It caters to merchants seeking to improve their ad performance and approval rates on Google's platform, offering features like custom data editing, approval tracking, and smart data synchronization. Selling Point, on the other hand, tackles the challenge of migrating or importing gift cards and store credits from other platforms into Shopify. It targets merchants switching to Shopify or consolidating their sales channels who need to seamlessly transfer their existing gift card and store credit systems without manual effort or custom development. The key distinction lies in their core functionality. MP Google Shopping Feed is designed for advertising and product listing optimization on Google Shopping. Its value proposition centers on saving time and maximizing ROI through efficient feed management and data customization. Selling Point focuses on data migration, specifically gift cards and store credits. It offers a solution to a very specific pain point: simplifying the transition to Shopify by automating the import process. While both aim to save merchants time, the context is vastly different: one is about marketing and the other is about operational efficiency during a platform change or consolidation.
