Our Verdict
The choice between MP ‑ Store Migration & Import and Rokt Catalog for Brands hinges entirely on the merchant's immediate needs and long-term strategy. If a merchant is transitioning to Shopify from another platform or consolidating multiple stores, MP ‑ Store Migration & Import appears to be the superior choice, given its high rating and focus on a critical, often technically challenging, task. Its excellent rating suggests minimal risk of data loss or errors.
However, if the merchant's priority is expanding their brand's reach and sales through established retailers without the complexities of direct integration and relationship management, Rokt Catalog is the more suitable option. It offers a streamlined way to access new customer segments. Merchants should carefully weigh the potential benefits of increased reach against the app's lower rating and smaller number of reviews when evaluating Rokt Catalog.
