MP ‑ Store Migration & Import vs SPD: Google Shopping Feedfor Shopify (2026)
MP ‑ Store Migration & Import and SPD: Google Shopping Feed, while both categorized under 'Selling online', cater to vastly different needs. MP ‑ Store Migration & Import focuses on facilitating the transfer of an entire store from one platform to Shopify or importing products. Given its perfect 5-star rating from a substantial 109 reviews, it suggests high user satisfaction with its core functionality. SPD: Google Shopping Feed, conversely, is designed to streamline the process of synchronizing products from a Shopify store to Google Merchant Center for increased visibility on Google Shopping. Its 4.3-star rating with only 9 reviews indicates a smaller user base and potentially more nuanced user experiences. SPD: Google Shopping Feed distinguishes itself by offering features tailored to optimizing Google Shopping listings, such as product filtering by category and metafield, automatic feed synchronization, multi-language and multi-currency support, and in-app editing of Google product information. These features directly address the challenges of managing product feeds and maximizing reach on Google Shopping. However, the description reveals a limitation of 1,000 products sync per store, which could be a significant constraint for larger businesses. MP ‑ Store Migration & Import doesn't appear to have this limitation based on the provided data, although it would handle the migration/import differently. The target merchant and value proposition of each app are dramatically different; one is for store migrations/imports and the other is for managing Google Shopping feeds.

Our Verdict
If a merchant needs to migrate their store to Shopify or import products from another source, MP ‑ Store Migration & Import is the clear choice. The higher rating and significant number of reviews suggest it's a reliable solution for this specific task. However, if the merchant already has a Shopify store and wants to improve their presence on Google Shopping, SPD: Google Shopping Feed is the more appropriate option. While the rating is lower and the review count is smaller, its features are specifically designed for Google Shopping feed management. Note that merchants with more than 1,000 products will need to seek alternatives to SPD: Google Shopping Feed.
