MP ‑ Store Migration & Import vs Store Migrationfor Shopify (2026)
MP - Store Migration & Import and Store Migration both aim to simplify the process of transferring data to Shopify, but cater to different segments of merchants. 'Store Migration,' a Shopify-developed app, directly targets merchants migrating from a wide range of platforms including Square, WooCommerce, Etsy, Wix, Amazon, eBay, Clover, and Lightspeed R/X (Vend). It emphasizes ease of use through automated connections (where supported) and guided setup. Its positioning is focused on direct platform integrations and using Shopify's infrastructure for data transfer. MP - Store Migration & Import, on the other hand, boasts a significantly higher rating and review count. The limited feature data suggests a potentially more generic or flexible approach, relying heavily on CSV uploads. Its higher rating and number of reviews imply a greater degree of user satisfaction and potentially a wider user base. While 'Store Migration' highlights specific platform integrations and direct support from Shopify, 'MP - Store Migration & Import' offers a strong reputation based on user feedback.

Our Verdict
For merchants migrating from one of the platforms specifically supported by Shopify's 'Store Migration' app (Square, WooCommerce, Etsy, Wix, Amazon, eBay, Clover, Lightspeed R/X (Vend)), it's a strong starting point due to its direct integration and guided setup. However, merchants should be aware of the lower rating and limited number of reviews. If a platform isn't supported or a more proven and user-rated solution is desired, 'MP - Store Migration & Import' is a better option. The higher rating and significantly larger review count suggest a more reliable and satisfactory experience, even if it may require more manual configuration through CSV uploads.
