MP ‑ Store Migration & Import vs Ultimate Product ID Exporterfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, MP ‑ Store Migration & Import and Ultimate Product ID Exporter both address the 'Selling online' and 'Store data importer' Shopify categories, but cater to distinct needs. MP ‑ Store Migration & Import focuses on facilitating complete store migrations or importing store data, implying a broad scope and a likely one-time or infrequent use case. Its high rating and significant number of reviews suggest a reliable and well-regarded solution for merchants undertaking store transformations or consolidation. Ultimate Product ID Exporter, on the other hand, specializes in exporting product data, particularly Product IDs, Variant IDs, and Inventory IDs, into Excel sheets. Its description and features indicate a target audience of merchants who frequently need to share detailed product information with third parties (like developers or suppliers), or who require advanced product data analysis beyond what the standard Shopify admin provides. The smaller number of reviews suggests a more niche application, potentially with a smaller overall user base, or a newer app that is still acquiring reviews.

Our Verdict
For merchants planning a store migration or needing to import data from another platform, MP ‑ Store Migration & Import appears to be the stronger choice. Its perfect rating and large number of reviews inspire confidence in its reliability and ease of use for a potentially complex process.
However, for merchants who require frequent, detailed product data exports, particularly when dealing with third parties who need specific IDs or for advanced internal analysis, Ultimate Product ID Exporter is the more suitable tool. The ability to create custom export templates and filter data based on various criteria provides valuable flexibility, despite the lower review count suggesting it caters to a more specific audience.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use for a beginner?
MP ‑ Store Migration & Import likely has a simpler initial learning curve, given its broad focus on store migration and import which typically streamlines the onboarding process. The lower review count of Ultimate Product ID Exporter, despite its good rating, suggests that setting up custom export templates might require more technical knowledge.
Can both apps be used to transfer data between two Shopify stores?

Does Ultimate Product ID Exporter support metafields?
Yes, Ultimate Product ID Exporter explicitly mentions support for exporting metafields in its description and key features, offering granular control over product data exports.
How often is MP ‑ Store Migration & Import typically used by merchants?
Given its focus on store migration and import, MP ‑ Store Migration & Import is likely used infrequently. Most merchants only migrate stores or import large datasets a few times throughout their business lifecycle.
Which app provides more detailed control over the exported data?
Ultimate Product ID Exporter provides much more granular control over the data that is exported. With custom templates, built-in Drag & Drop Editor, filtering options and ability to export 50+ columns, it is the stronger choice for those with fine-tuned export needs.
