Mport ‑ Bulk Metafield Import vs S‑BULK Excel Like Product Editfor Shopify (2026)
Mport - Bulk Metafield Import positions itself as a focused solution for importing and exporting product metafields in bulk using CSV files. Its strength lies in its simplicity, directly mirroring the Shopify product import CSV structure, making it potentially easier for merchants already familiar with that process. It caters to merchants needing a straightforward method for bulk metafield management, emphasizing ease of use and reporting. However, the complete lack of reviews and rating poses a considerable risk for potential users. S-BULK Excel Like Product Edit, on the other hand, offers a more comprehensive product and variant editing experience within a spreadsheet-like interface. Its strength is its flexibility, allowing for direct editing of various product data, including metafields, within a single view, enhanced by filters, programmable triggers and calculated fields. It appears to be designed for merchants seeking granular control and real-time editing capabilities beyond just metafield import/export. The app enjoys a respectable 4.3/5 rating with 24 reviews, suggesting a more established and potentially reliable solution.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on straightforward bulk import and export of product metafields and comfortable with CSV files, Mport - Bulk Metafield Import could be a viable option, *if* they are willing to take a risk with an unrated and unreviewed app. However, the lack of social proof is a major concern.
S-BULK Excel Like Product Edit is the stronger choice for merchants needing a broader range of product editing capabilities, including real-time data manipulation, filtering, and programmable features. The positive reviews and higher rating suggest a more reliable and feature-rich solution, justifying any potential initial learning curve. It's a better fit for merchants who value granular control and are willing to invest time in mastering the spreadsheet-like interface.
