MS Barcode Labels & Generator vs New G Solutionfor Shopify (2026)
MS Barcode Labels & Generator focuses on simplifying barcode and SKU creation and printing, primarily for retail businesses. It boasts a perfect 5-star rating with 168 reviews, suggesting strong user satisfaction. Its strength lies in its user-friendly interface (drag-and-drop label design), integration with Stocky, and ability to handle various barcode formats. It's clearly designed for merchants needing a streamlined solution for generating and printing barcode labels directly related to their Shopify products and purchase orders. New G Solution, on the other hand, positions itself as a comprehensive cloud-based ERP system encompassing inventory, manufacturing, and accounting management, suited for B2B and wholesale e-commerce businesses. The key difference lies in the scope. MS Barcode Labels & Generator is a specialized app focused on barcode label creation and printing. New G Solution is a more extensive ERP system encompassing a wide range of business processes. While both support SKUs and barcodes, New G Solution utilizes them within a broader framework of inventory management, manufacturing, and accounting. The lack of reviews for New G Solution makes it difficult to ascertain user satisfaction and reliability compared to MS Barcode Labels & Generator's proven track record. The merchant's specific needs will determine the better choice: focused barcode label creation versus a full ERP suite.

Our Verdict
For retailers primarily concerned with generating and printing barcode labels for their products, especially those already using Stocky, MS Barcode Labels & Generator is the clear choice. Its high rating and numerous positive reviews indicate a reliable and user-friendly experience focused on that specific need. Its drag-and-drop interface for label design simplifies the creation process.
However, if a business requires a comprehensive ERP system to manage inventory, manufacturing, accounting, and more, then New G Solution might be considered, *assuming* they're prepared to fully vet the software. Given the lack of user reviews, thoroughly researching New G Solution and potentially piloting the software would be crucial before committing to it. If the merchant only needs barcode label functionality, the complexity of New G Solution makes it an overkill and could lead to unnecessary costs and implementation efforts.
Common Questions
Can I design custom labels with both apps?
Yes, both apps allow designing custom labels. MS Barcode Labels & Generator offers a drag-and-drop interface for ease of use. New G Solution capabilities might depend on specific features and are less clearly specified.
Which app is better for printing barcode labels from Shopify?
MS Barcode Labels & Generator is explicitly designed for this purpose, allowing direct printing from the Shopify product page. New G Solution integrates barcode scanning within its larger inventory management functions but doesn't explicitly mention direct printing from the Shopify product page.
Does either app offer support for GTIN barcodes?
MS Barcode Labels & Generator explicitly states support for GTINs, EANs, UPCs, and other formats. New G Solution mentions UPC support, implying other barcode types may be supported within its barcode scanning functionality but this is not confirmed for GTINs specifically.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the information provided and the number of reviews, MS Barcode Labels & Generator is likely easier to set up and use due to its focused functionality and positive user feedback. New G Solution, being a full ERP system, is likely more complex to implement and require more configuration.
Which app is more cost-effective for a small retail store?
Without pricing information, it's impossible to say definitively. However, MS Barcode Labels & Generator, focusing solely on barcode label needs, is likely a more cost-effective solution for a small retail store than implementing a full ERP system like New G Solution.
