Common Questions
Can both apps be used for the same product?
Potentially, but they address separate needs. MS Barcode Labels & Generator creates the barcode for the product, while RP ProMap ‑ Store Locator helps customers find where that product is physically sold.
Which app is easier to set up?
MS Barcode Labels & Generator is likely faster to set up for basic barcode generation and printing. RP ProMap ‑ Store Locator requires more configuration, especially when importing large location datasets and customizing the map.
Does either app require a paid subscription after installation?
The provided data does not explicitly state whether either app has a paid subscription. Reviewing the app listings in the Shopify App Store would be needed to confirm their pricing structure.
Which app is better for increasing in-store sales?
RP ProMap ‑ Store Locator is directly aimed at increasing in-store sales by helping customers find physical store locations. MS Barcode Labels & Generator improves internal efficiency but does not directly impact customer acquisition.
Which app is more useful for a dropshipping business?
Neither app is particularly useful for a pure dropshipping business, as dropshipping doesn't involve physical store locations or managing in-house inventory requiring barcode labels. RP ProMap might be useful if the dropshipper wants to showcase supplier locations (with permission).
