Our Verdict
MS Custom SizePrice Calculator is the clear choice for merchants offering products where price directly correlates with size and where visual representation of the custom size is important for the customer's buying decision. This is ideal for businesses selling wallpaper, fabric, or similar goods. YouQuote: Request a Quote Form is better suited for businesses offering complex services or products that require a tailored quote based on specific customer needs and where dimension-based calculation is not the primary factor. For instance, a construction company or a software development agency might find YouQuote more suitable.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
YouQuote is likely easier to set up as it involves creating a request form, while MS Custom SizePrice Calculator involves configuring pricing calculations based on dimensions.
Which app offers more control over pricing?
MS Custom SizePrice Calculator gives more direct control over pricing as it allows setting prices based on dimensions, quantity, and minimum price. YouQuote's pricing is determined outside the app.
Is either app suitable for products with simple, fixed prices?
Neither app is ideally suited for fixed prices. However, MS Custom SizePrice Calculator *could* be used if the dimensions are essentially cosmetic (e.g., displaying the product at a different size). YouQuote would be unnecessary.
Which app is better for businesses offering services rather than physical products?
YouQuote is generally better suited for service-based businesses, as it allows customers to request quotes for customized service packages.
If I sell both customizable products *and* require quotes for larger projects, which app should I choose?
Consider using both apps, or investigate if MS Custom SizePrice Calculator's customization options can be extended to include a request-a-quote component for larger projects. Otherwise, you may need to choose a different app or a combination of apps.
