Both MultiPrice: Custom POS Pricing and VariPrice ‑ POS Custom Pricing address the challenge of managing different prices for online and POS locations in Shopify. They aim to eliminate workarounds like duplicated products or discount-based pricing, offering a centralized solution for price management. MultiPrice emphasizes a seamless experience across all Shopify plans and clean inventory management. Our Verdict
MultiPrice is a more broadly applicable solution due to its compatibility across all Shopify plans and lack of explicit limitations. This makes it suitable for a wider range of merchants, especially those who prioritize simplicity and integration. VariPrice, despite its higher rating, carries crucial caveats regarding internet connectivity and app compatibility. While its CSV import/export for bulk updates is appealing, these limitations make it a less reliable choice for merchants who rely on offline POS operations or use apps that employ Cart Transformer functionality. VariPrice is best suited for POS-centric stores with reliable internet and limited third-party app integrations.
