Multi‑Store Country Redirect vs Traffic Policefor Shopify (2026)
Multi‑Store Country Redirect and Traffic Police both address geolocation-based traffic management for Shopify stores, but their core focus diverges significantly. Multi‑Store Country Redirect is purpose-built for merchants with multiple storefronts targeting different countries, aiming to provide a seamless redirection experience based purely on location. It prioritizes user experience with features like automatic redirection without prompts and a lightweight, optimized script. Its value proposition centers on simplifying international storefront management and improving conversion rates through correct store routing. Because it is unrated and has no reviews, its effectiveness in 2026 is unknown. Traffic Police, on the other hand, offers a broader suite of security and traffic management tools. While it also includes geolocation-based redirection, its primary focus appears to be blocking malicious traffic from specific regions. The app offers features like IP logging, allow/block lists, and content protection, appealing to merchants concerned with security and GDPR compliance. The 5/5 rating with 8 reviews suggests a level of user satisfaction, though the small sample size warrants caution. The redirection feature seems secondary to its security focus. Traffic Police delivers more protection and compliance features; however, it does require more management than Multi-Store Country Redirect which emphasizes ease of use.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with automatically routing customers to the correct international storefronts and prioritizing a seamless user experience, Multi‑Store Country Redirect *might* be suitable if its 2026 performance is better than suggested by its lack of rating. The app's focus on user experience and multiple storefront support is compelling. However, the lack of reviews presents a significant risk.
If security, malicious traffic protection, and GDPR compliance are primary concerns, Traffic Police is the stronger choice. Its higher rating and broader feature set, including traffic blocking and content protection, provide a more comprehensive solution. The redirection feature, while present, is secondary to its security focus. If you need to balance geo-location redirect with robust protection, it's a worthy choice.
