MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order vs We're Closedfor Shopify (2026)
MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order and We're Closed are both Shopify apps categorized under 'Checkout', but they serve fundamentally different purposes. MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order, boasting a perfect 5/5 rating from a substantial 306 reviews, is likely focused on streamlining the purchasing process for customers ordering multiple variants or large quantities of products. Its name strongly suggests functionality related to bulk orders, potentially offering features like quantity discounts or streamlined variant selection. We're Closed, on the other hand, with a 4.1/5 rating based on only 8 reviews, directly addresses the need for merchants to manage their store's availability based on their working hours. We're Closed is specifically targeted at businesses with defined operating hours, such as restaurants, bakeries, and local stores. Its core functionality revolves around disabling the 'Add to Cart' and 'Proceed to Checkout' buttons outside of these specified hours, preventing orders from being placed when the business is closed. It also allows merchants to display a closed banner to inform customers about their operating status. While both apps touch upon the checkout process, their solutions are tailored for distinct challenges faced by different types of Shopify stores. MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order enhances the ordering experience, while We're Closed manages store availability and prevents off-hours transactions. The stark contrast in the number of reviews (306 vs. 8) suggests MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order is a more established and widely used app, although it's difficult to know the recency of the reviews without further information. This difference in user base implies one app may have better community support or a longer track record of reliability and feature development.

Our Verdict
The choice between MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order and We're Closed hinges entirely on the specific needs of the merchant. If the primary goal is to enhance the experience for customers placing large orders or navigating complex product variations, then MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order is the clear choice. Its high rating and substantial review count suggest a proven solution in this area. However, if the business operates with defined working hours and needs a reliable way to prevent orders during closed times, then We're Closed is the appropriate app. Although its review count is lower, its functionality is laser-focused on solving this particular problem.
For businesses operating outside of conventional business hours or during irregular seasons, We're Closed would provide a lot of value. However, if a business runs 24/7 or wants to process bulk orders better, MultiVariants - Bulk Order may be worth exploring.
