MX: Background Music Player vs Scala Parcelamento Installmentfor Shopify (2026)
MX: Background Music Player and Scala Parcelamento Installment cater to vastly different needs within a Shopify store, despite sharing the 'Design elements' category. MX aims to enhance the customer experience through auditory means, allowing merchants to play background music to set a mood or highlight seasonal promotions. Its strength lies in its customization options and broad music source compatibility (Tidal, Spotify, YouTube, etc.). This targets merchants focused on creating an immersive and engaging storefront, particularly those prioritizing atmosphere and brand personality. Conversely, Scala Parcelamento Installment focuses on optimizing the purchasing process by displaying installment payment options directly on product pages. Its key advantage is its ability to seamlessly integrate with various Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services and currencies, thus catering to merchants wanting to increase conversion rates and Average Order Value (AOV) by offering flexible payment terms.

Our Verdict
The choice between MX: Background Music Player and Scala Parcelamento Installment depends heavily on the merchant's primary goal. If the goal is to create a more engaging and atmospheric shopping experience, especially during seasonal sales, MX: Background Music Player is the better choice. However, if the focus is on increasing sales and AOV by offering flexible payment options to a wider range of customers, Scala Parcelamento Installment is the clear winner. Scala Parcelamento Installment’s higher number of reviews also suggests a more established user base and potentially better reliability/support. While MX offers a unique feature, its lower review count might indicate a smaller or newer user base, making Scala the safer bet for most merchants focused on bottom-line results.
