Our Verdict
For merchants aiming to create a fun, engaging, and unique shopping experience through randomized offerings and virtual unboxing, Mysbox - Mystery Box Builder is the better choice. It's ideal for businesses looking to drive excitement around seasonal sales or clear out excess inventory. However, for merchants in industries where product sampling is critical for driving trial and adoption, such as cosmetics, healthcare, or food supplements, Sample Products - Try N Buy provides a more targeted and strategic solution. Sample Products helps to boost AOV and build customer loyalty by incentivizing larger purchases with the opportunity to sample new products.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, both apps offer straightforward setup. Mysbox highlights automated probabilities, which may simplify item selection. Sample Products allows setting custom rules, which needs some manual intervention to get the rules right.
Which app is better for building long-term customer loyalty?
Sample Products - Try N Buy is explicitly designed to build customer loyalty by allowing customers to try products before committing to a full purchase. While Mysbox can create excitement, its impact on long-term loyalty is less directly focused.
Which app requires more product inventory to function effectively?
Mysbox likely requires a broader range of inventory to create appealing mystery boxes. Sample Products focuses on providing smaller sample sizes, thus reducing the inventory impact, especially at start.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, yes. A merchant could use Sample Products to encourage initial purchases and then use Mysbox during a seasonal sale to create additional excitement around clearance inventory or special product bundles. However, this requires careful planning to avoid overwhelming customers.
What kind of data analytics do these apps provide?
Mysbox highlights built-in analytics for tracking performance across all devices. Sample Products doesn't explicitly mention analytics, but can be reasonably expected to track sample redemptions and the impact on AOV.
