Our Verdict
Choosing between MyShop ‑ Product XML Import and Selling Point depends heavily on your specific needs. If you're primarily concerned with migrating or importing product data, especially via XML files, MyShop ‑ Product XML Import is the appropriate tool. However, if your focus is on migrating gift cards and store credits from another platform to Shopify, Selling Point is the clear winner.
While Selling Point has a higher rating and more reviews, this doesn't automatically make it the better app overall. It simply indicates that it excels at its specific function: gift card and store credit migration. If you require product XML imports, MyShop ‑ Product XML Import is the only relevant option presented, despite having fewer reviews. Merchants should pick the app that directly addresses their business needs, not just based on overall rating.
