Nada • Sort & Hide Sold Out vs PML Stock Take Inventory Countfor Shopify (2026)
Nada • Sort & Hide Sold Out and PML Stock Take Inventory Count both address inventory management, but cater to vastly different needs. Nada focuses on optimizing the online customer experience by automatically hiding or re-ordering sold-out products and providing low-stock alerts, primarily benefiting online-only stores. Its strength lies in visual merchandising and preventing lost sales due to stockouts. PML Stock Take Inventory Count, on the other hand, is designed for physical stores that need to accurately track and manage inventory levels using barcode scanning and POS integration. PML Stock Take Inventory Count streamlines the stock-taking process by allowing merchants to create and customize stock takes, use POS devices for scanning, and generate reports on stock and transfers. This significantly reduces the risk of human error and improves overall inventory accuracy. While both apps share the 'Inventory' and 'Inventory optimization' categories on Shopify, they target distinct business models: one emphasizes optimizing the online storefront based on inventory, while the other emphasizes the accurate tracking and management of inventory in physical locations. The 'ease of use' is difficult to compare given each app's highly specialized feature set.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily selling online, Nada • Sort & Hide Sold Out provides valuable features for improving the customer experience by ensuring a well-organized and fully stocked storefront. The low-stock alerts are particularly useful for preventing lost sales. However, a low review count compared to PML should be considered.
For merchants operating physical stores, especially those already using Shopify POS, PML Stock Take Inventory Count is the clear winner. Its focus on accurate inventory counts, barcode scanning, and POS integration directly addresses the challenges of managing inventory in a physical retail environment. While Nada may have some tangential benefits, its core features are not relevant for a physical store's stock-taking needs. The higher review count suggests broader adoption and potentially greater reliability within its target market.
