Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with preventing skewed marketing data, protecting their ad budgets from bot clicks, and ensuring the accuracy of their analytics, Negate - Bot Protection is the better choice. Its focus on blocking malicious bots before they interact with marketing pixels directly addresses these concerns.
However, if a merchant's main priority is to combat credit card fraud, reduce chargebacks, and automate order screening, Subuno provides a more comprehensive solution. Its customizable fraud checks, advanced data analytics, and integrations with third-party tools offer a robust defense against fraudulent orders. While Subuno has fewer reviews, its perfect rating suggests a high level of satisfaction among its user base.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Negate - Bot Protection claims a 'One Click Install,' suggesting a very simple setup process. Subuno focuses on no-code customization, implying a slightly more involved setup, but without requiring coding knowledge.
Which app is more suitable for a small business?
Negate - Bot Protection, with its focus on bot protection and potentially simpler setup, might be a better starting point for smaller businesses that want to protect their limited marketing budget and data from bot interference. Subuno might be overkill for businesses with very low transaction volumes.
Which app is better for preventing chargebacks?
Subuno is specifically designed to prevent credit card fraud and chargebacks. Negate may indirectly help by preventing fraudulent transactions that could lead to chargebacks, but it's not its primary focus.
Which app provides more detailed order analysis?
Subuno offers 15+ manual review tools, integrated third-party tools, and advanced data analytics, suggesting a much more detailed order analysis capability than Negate.
If I use both apps, will they conflict with each other?
Potentially, but unlikely in a significant way. They address different aspects of fraud. Negate handles bot traffic, while Subuno deals with credit card fraud within legitimate user traffic. However, monitoring performance and potentially adjusting rules might be necessary to ensure they complement each other effectively.
