Nex Advanced Cash on Delivery vs Shopify Checkout Blocksfor Shopify (2026)
Nex Advanced Cash on Delivery and Shopify Checkout Blocks cater to vastly different needs within the Shopify ecosystem. Nex Advanced Cash on Delivery focuses squarely on enhancing Cash on Delivery (COD) options for merchants, presumably offering features to streamline and optimize this specific payment method. Its high rating (4.9/5) and healthy number of reviews (139) suggest strong user satisfaction in this area. Shopify Checkout Blocks, on the other hand, aims to provide broader checkout customization capabilities, particularly around the Thank You and Order Status pages. However, a critical distinction is that many of its key features, including custom checkout modifications, order/shipping discounts, address validation, and payment method manipulation, are exclusively available to Shopify Plus merchants. This significantly limits its accessibility and relevance for smaller businesses.

Our Verdict
The choice between Nex Advanced Cash on Delivery and Shopify Checkout Blocks hinges entirely on the merchant's needs and Shopify plan. For merchants primarily concerned with optimizing Cash on Delivery, Nex Advanced Cash on Delivery is the clear winner, evidenced by its higher rating and focus. Shopify Checkout Blocks is only truly beneficial for Shopify Plus merchants who desire extensive control over the checkout process and order status pages. Standard Shopify merchants gain limited value from Shopify Checkout Blocks since many of its advertised features are locked behind the Plus plan.
