Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkbox vs Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawerfor Shopify (2026)
Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkbox and Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer are both Shopify apps that touch upon the 'Cart customization' category, but their functionalities and target audiences are vastly different. Nexa focuses on a niche aspect: GDPR compliance for Shopify Plus stores by providing a customizable Terms and Conditions checkbox at checkout. Its core value proposition is simplified legal compliance and enhanced data protection transparency. Opus, on the other hand, takes a broader approach to cart customization, aiming to boost AOV and conversions through various upselling and cross-selling strategies. Opus provides a suite of tools to incentivize customers to spend more, including upsells, cross-sells, free gifts, reward bars, and urgency timers. Furthermore, Opus offers abandoned cart analytics to recover lost sales. While Nexa targets high-end e-commerce with legal compliance needs, Opus caters to a broader range of merchants seeking to optimize their cart experience for increased revenue. The stark contrast in ratings and reviews further highlights the difference in perceived value and user satisfaction between the two apps.

Our Verdict
For Shopify Plus merchants prioritizing GDPR compliance and needing a simple way to add a Terms and Conditions checkbox, Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkbox appears to be tailored for that specific need, *if* they can overcome the lack of ratings and reviews. However, the absence of any user feedback makes it a risky choice.
Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer is the clear choice for merchants seeking to actively increase their Average Order Value and conversion rates. Its high rating and numerous positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective solution for boosting sales through cart optimization. Opus's broad feature set and positive user feedback make it the safer and likely more impactful choice for most Shopify store owners.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to offer simple, no-code setup. However, without user reviews for Nexa, it's difficult to determine which is genuinely easier. Opus's high rating suggests a smoother user experience.
Which app is more likely to increase sales?
Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer is designed specifically to increase sales through upsells, cross-sells, and other incentivizing features. Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkbox primarily focuses on legal compliance, not direct sales increases.
Which app is better for a small business?
Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer is generally better suited for small businesses due to its broad applicability and focus on revenue generation. Nexa's Shopify Plus exclusivity limits its use for small businesses.
Is Nexa a risk-free choice?
Nexa is a risky choice due to the complete absence of reviews and ratings. There's no independent verification of its claims or functionality.
If I need both legal compliance and increased sales, do I need both apps?
