Ninja Van vs Ricemill | Fulfilmentfor Shopify (2026)
Ninja Van and Ricemill | Fulfilment both aim to streamline shipping for Shopify merchants in 2026, but they cater to different needs. Ninja Van focuses on simplifying integration with the Ninja Van delivery service, emphasizing a seamless workflow and speed for merchants already using or planning to use Ninja Van. It prioritizes direct order creation and airway bill generation within Shopify for Ninja Van shipments, targeting businesses that heavily rely on this specific carrier. Ricemill | Fulfilment, on the other hand, offers a broader carrier integration, specifically highlighting Australia Post (MyPost Business & eParcel) and Sendle. Its key strength lies in comparing shipping rates across these carriers and printing labels. Ricemill targets Australian merchants needing to compare rates from these main postal carriers, split shipments, and fulfill orders easily with Australia Post and Sendle. While Ninja Van emphasizes simplicity within its own ecosystem, Ricemill prioritizes flexibility and cost comparison for merchants using multiple Australian carriers. Both apps are listed under the 'Shipping solutions - Other' category, implying they fill niche needs that generic shipping apps might miss. However, the core difference is the carrier focus: Ninja Van for Ninja Van, and Ricemill for Australia Post & Sendle.

Our Verdict
For merchants exclusively using Ninja Van for deliveries, the Ninja Van app provides a seamless and efficient workflow by directly integrating with their shipping system. The lower rating compared to Ricemill may warrant further investigation of user reviews to understand any potential drawbacks. However, if you need direct integration with Ninja Van, this will be your solution.
If you are an Australian merchant utilizing Australia Post (MyPost Business, eParcel) or Sendle, Ricemill | Fulfilment is the better choice. Its higher rating, combined with features like shipping rate comparison and multiple label layout options, offer a more comprehensive shipping management solution for your specific carrier needs. The ability to split orders into multiple shipments is useful for merchants shipping items at different times. While Ricemill doesn't offer direct integration to a range of global carriers, it is a strong niche solution in Australia.
