Our Verdict
The choice between Nivera Virtual Try On and Picture It: AR & Art Previews hinges entirely on the type of products being sold. Nivera is the clear choice for apparel and fashion retailers seeking to reduce returns by enabling virtual try-ons. Its AI-powered approach and ease of integration make it a compelling option. Picture It is tailored for art galleries, art stores, and decor shops, offering features like virtual showrooms and accurate dimensioning to help customers visualize artwork in their homes.
While both apps have 5-star ratings, the higher number of reviews for Picture It suggests a more established presence and broader user base. However, the lower review count of Nivera could be influenced by its explicitly stated limited availability and newer release in the market. Ultimately, the optimal choice depends on aligning the app's core functionality with the specific product category and business needs of the Shopify merchant.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to have quick and easy setup processes. Nivera advertises one-click installation and no custom changes, while Picture It boasts automatic importing of dimensions and frames. The actual ease of use might depend on the merchant's technical skills and familiarity with each product type.
Which app has a better analytics dashboard?
Both apps mention having built-in analytics dashboards to track sales and trends related to their respective AR/VR features. Without further details, it's impossible to determine which dashboard is more comprehensive or user-friendly. Merchants should consider requesting demos to evaluate the dashboards.
Can I use Nivera for accessories like hats or jewelry?
While Nivera's description focuses on "outfits" and general "fashion products," its core technology of AI-powered virtual try-on *could* potentially be adapted for accessories. However, it's best to confirm with the app developer if it supports specific accessory types.
Does Picture It require customers to download a separate app to view artwork in AR?
The description of Picture It doesn't specify if a separate app download is required. Typically, AR experiences on e-commerce sites rely on web-based AR technology or integration with existing AR platforms on smartphones. Merchants should verify this with the app developer.
Which app provides better customer support?
Nivera directly mentions offering customer onboarding, and given the limited availability wording, it's plausible they are providing white-glove onboarding service. Picture It does not explicitly mention onboarding support. Both provide support, but it's unclear which would be better.
