Our Verdict
Choosing between NoIndexly and Redirect Hero depends entirely on the specific SEO challenges a merchant faces. If the primary concern is duplicate content arising from multiple versions of pages, NoIndexly is the more appropriate choice. It provides a focused solution for managing NoIndex/Nofollow tags and preventing search engine penalties related to content replication.
However, if the bigger issue is broken links leading to 404 errors, Redirect Hero is the better option. While both apps aim to improve SEO in the long run, Redirect Hero directly addresses user experience concerns associated with broken links. Given its higher number of positive reviews, it may also be a more reliable choice overall, assuming those reviews are legitimate. A merchant might even consider using both if facing both duplicate content and 404 errors.
