Notch – Customer Support Suite vs Relocate+ Order Editorfor Shopify (2026)
Notch – Customer Support Suite and Relocate+ Order Editor both aim to improve customer satisfaction but approach it from different angles. Notch positions itself as a full-service, AI-powered customer support solution, essentially outsourcing the entire customer service operation. This is designed for merchants wanting to offload customer support entirely and focus solely on business growth. Conversely, Relocate+ Order Editor focuses on empowering customers to self-serve with order edits (address, products, variants), thereby reducing support tickets and returns. It targets merchants who want to reduce support burden by giving customers control over their orders. Relocate+ also integrates with a limited number of other platforms like Shipstation and Recharge, demonstrating it is built as an addition to existing business practices, as opposed to a complete replacement like Notch. The key difference lies in control and investment. Notch provides a complete support solution; merchants relinquish direct handling of support to Notch's AI and experts. Relocate+, on the other hand, gives merchants tools to automate common customer requests, but the merchants are still ultimately responsible for customer service beyond those self-serve edits. One is a complete service; the other, a feature set to improve existing workflows. The low review count of Notch, despite a perfect rating, is a risk factor that must be considered.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with a high volume of customer support requests and wanting a hands-off solution, Notch – Customer Support Suite might be appealing if they are comfortable with an unproven solution. However, the extremely low review count (only 4 reviews) suggests it may be a risky choice in 2026 without further vetting. Conversely, Relocate+ Order Editor is ideal for merchants seeking to empower customers and reduce support tickets related to order changes. Its higher review count suggests it's a more established and potentially reliable solution.
In summary, choose Notch if you want complete customer support outsourcing, but proceed with caution due to the limited reviews. Choose Relocate+ if you want to give customers more control over their orders and reduce the support burden without completely outsourcing your customer support.
Common Questions
Which app requires more setup?
Relocate+ requires configuration of rules and options. Notch requires onboarding the AI, but after that, should be less active management.

What are the potential drawbacks of Notch's AI-driven approach?
Potential drawbacks include the AI not fully understanding complex issues, potentially providing generic or unhelpful responses, or needing significant training to handle specific product/industry nuances.
Does Relocate+ allow editing after an order has shipped?
