NotFoundBot: Broken Link AI vs OnCustomer: Livechat & Chatbotfor Shopify (2026)
NotFoundBot: Broken Link AI and OnCustomer: Livechat & Chatbot address vastly different aspects of the customer experience on a Shopify store. NotFoundBot focuses on technical SEO and lost traffic recovery by automatically redirecting users who encounter broken links. Its primary goal is to recapture potential sales lost due to 404 errors and improve overall user experience by ensuring customers find the content they're looking for. It is positioned as an easy-to-use solution suitable for stores of any size. OnCustomer, on the other hand, is an omnichannel communication platform designed to consolidate customer interactions from various channels, including live chat, social media, and email. It aims to provide a comprehensive view of the customer and automate personalized communication. The key difference lies in their core functionalities. NotFoundBot is a reactive tool that fixes existing problems (broken links), while OnCustomer is a proactive tool that facilitates customer engagement and support. NotFoundBot is designed for merchants primarily concerned with technical SEO and preventing lost sales due to broken links. OnCustomer targets merchants who need a robust customer communication and support system across multiple platforms, focusing on lead optimization, conversation management, and customer feedback. One offers a highly specific, automated technical solution, while the other provides a broad suite of customer support and engagement features.

Our Verdict
For merchants experiencing significant traffic loss due to broken links and seeking a simple, automated solution, NotFoundBot: Broken Link AI is the more suitable choice. Its focus on immediate problem-solving with minimal setup makes it an attractive option. Conversely, if a merchant's priority is to build strong customer relationships across multiple communication channels, manage customer inquiries efficiently, and collect customer feedback, OnCustomer: Livechat & Chatbot is the better investment. It offers a more comprehensive, albeit potentially more complex, solution for customer support and engagement. The lack of reviews for OnCustomer does make it a higher risk choice, however.
Given the available data, unless a merchant has a pressing need for omnichannel customer support *and* is comfortable being an early adopter despite the absence of user reviews, NotFoundBot appears to be the safer, more targeted solution due to its 5-star rating and focus on a clear, measurable problem.
