NotFoundBot: Broken Link AI vs Shoplift ‑ A/B Testing & CROfor Shopify (2026)
NotFoundBot: Broken Link AI and Shoplift ‑ A/B Testing & CRO both fall under the "Site optimization - Other" Shopify category, but address fundamentally different aspects of improving an online store. NotFoundBot focuses on rescuing lost sales by automatically redirecting users encountering broken links, aiming to improve user experience and recapture potential conversions. Shoplift, on the other hand, is a comprehensive A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) tool, enabling merchants to experiment with various aspects of their store, from product pages and pricing to theme elements, to maximize revenue. NotFoundBot targets merchants of all sizes seeking a simple, hands-off solution to broken link issues. Its value proposition lies in its ease of use and automated redirection capabilities. Shoplift, while also emphasizing ease of use, caters to merchants looking for a more strategic and data-driven approach to optimizing their store's performance. It provides a broader range of testing capabilities and in-depth analytics to identify areas for improvement and measure the impact of changes. Although NotFoundBot has a perfect rating, its limited number of reviews should be considered in contrast to Shoplift's lower but much more robust rating based on a significant sample size. Both apps claim seamless integration. NotFoundBot highlights chat assistance for uncertain redirects, hinting at more personalized support if needed. Shoplift boasts Lift Assist for auto-created split tests, indicating its focus on streamlining the testing process.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with minimizing lost sales due to broken links and seeking a completely hands-off solution, NotFoundBot: Broken Link AI is the clear choice. Its focus is narrow but impactful, automatically redirecting users and potentially recovering lost revenue with minimal effort. It is ideal for those who lack the time or expertise for extensive A/B testing.
However, for merchants dedicated to actively optimizing their store's performance through experimentation and data analysis, Shoplift ‑ A/B Testing & CRO offers a much more comprehensive toolkit. While requiring more active involvement, its A/B testing capabilities and analytics provide valuable insights into customer behavior and enable data-driven decisions to improve conversion rates. Shoplift's larger user base (indicated by the review count) suggests a more mature and widely adopted solution, although the risk of feature bloat and complexity might be a concern for some.

A store that is already optimized for conversions may find less value in Shoplift.
