Notification AI: Web Push vs RocketPush: WhatsApp, Web Pushfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between Notification AI: Web Push and RocketPush: WhatsApp, Web Push face a decision between an unproven but focused web push notification solution and a well-regarded, broader notification platform including WhatsApp. Notification AI focuses solely on web push notifications for abandoned cart recovery and customer engagement, promising a no-code setup. RocketPush expands beyond web push to include WhatsApp, aiming for comprehensive customer communication, although specific WhatsApp features are not detailed in the provided data. The key differentiator is the inclusion of WhatsApp in RocketPush. While Notification AI centers exclusively on web push automation for sales and retention, offering features such as personalized campaigns and custom opt-in, RocketPush’s value proposition seemingly lies in its multi-channel approach. The stark contrast in user reviews and ratings – Notification AI lacking any reviews versus RocketPush boasting a perfect rating with five reviews – strongly suggests RocketPush has an early advantage in user satisfaction and proven functionality. However, a merchant's specific needs (web push only vs broader channel support) will greatly influence their choice.

Our Verdict
RocketPush appears to be the stronger choice for most merchants in 2026, given its perfect user rating and multi-channel capabilities. The inclusion of WhatsApp alongside web push provides a more comprehensive communication strategy. Merchants requiring only web push notification functionality and are willing to take a risk on a new app may consider Notification AI, but the lack of reviews makes it a less predictable option.
Merchants heavily invested in WhatsApp for customer communication should definitely favor RocketPush. Those who are very sensitive to risk and rely on customer reviews will also find RocketPush a more comfortable choice. Notification AI might appeal to a very niche market—perhaps developers who like to experiment with new apps and are not afraid of potential issues, and who also want to keep their tech stack lean and focused on web push only.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Notification AI explicitly mentions a "no-code setup," suggesting a straightforward installation process. RocketPush doesn't explicitly mention ease of setup, but the presence of positive reviews indicates that it is likely user-friendly as well. Without testing both, it's difficult to definitively say which is easier.
Which app offers broader customer communication?
RocketPush, by including WhatsApp alongside web push, offers broader customer communication than Notification AI, which focuses exclusively on web push.
Is RocketPush likely to be more expensive than Notification AI?
Based on the data provided, it's impossible to say. Pricing information isn't included, and it is possible that Notification AI is cheaper despite offering fewer features or that RocketPush is competitively priced due to its user base.
Which app is more reliable?
Based on the available reviews, RocketPush appears to be more reliable due to its 5/5 rating from 5 reviews, whereas Notification AI has no reviews. However, reliability can change over time, and future reviews may alter this assessment.
If I only need abandoned cart notifications, is Notification AI sufficient?
Potentially, yes. Notification AI specifically highlights abandoned cart recovery as a key feature. However, without any user reviews to confirm its effectiveness or reliability, there's a significant risk involved. RocketPush likely offers abandoned cart functionality through its web push component and provides the additional benefit of WhatsApp communication.
