Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing internal automation, complex workflows, and customized communication based on specific store events, Notifications by Modd Apps is the clear choice. Its extensive Liquid support and object updating capabilities offer powerful customization. However, the learning curve might be steeper for those unfamiliar with Liquid.
Progressier is the better option for merchants wanting to improve the mobile experience for their customers and increase engagement through PWA functionality and push notifications. Its ease of use and focus on app-like accessibility make it suitable for merchants without technical expertise who are seeking a simple solution to enhance their mobile presence. However, it does not offer any features for backend automation or internal workflows.
