Nova: Multi Currency Converter vs Transcy: AI Language Translatefor Shopify (2026)
Nova: Multi Currency Converter and Transcy: AI Language Translate both aim to help Shopify merchants sell globally, but they approach the problem from different angles. Nova focuses primarily on currency conversion, offering a simple and customizable solution for displaying prices in local currencies. It emphasizes ease of use and direct currency conversion functionality. Its target audience is likely merchants who are already selling internationally but want a cleaner, more tailored currency conversion experience. Transcy, on the other hand, offers a much broader suite of localization features, including language translation powered by AI, image translation, and multilingual SEO. Transcy positions itself as a comprehensive localization solution, handling both currency and language translation. It targets merchants seeking complete control over their international expansion, from language to visuals. The inclusion of AI translation engines like OpenAI and DeepL suggests a focus on translation accuracy and nuance. The seamless Shopify Markets integration further solidifies its position as a comprehensive solution for serious international expansion. While both apps offer currency conversion, Transcy's offering is just one feature within a much larger localization stack.
