Novo: Ticker & Marquee vs SKU Image Matcher by MVIDEVfor Shopify (2026)
Novo: Ticker & Marquee and SKU Image Matcher by MVIDEV address entirely different needs for Shopify merchants. Novo focuses on enhancing the storefront's visual appeal and communication through dynamic announcement bars. Its strength lies in customizable, attention-grabbing displays designed to promote sales, discounts, and important updates. It targets merchants seeking to actively engage customers and highlight key information directly on their website. In contrast, SKU Image Matcher streamlines back-end product management by automating the process of matching product listings with corresponding images based on SKUs. Its core value proposition is saving time and effort for merchants who handle a large volume of products and images, potentially by automating CSV uploads. This app aims to improve operational efficiency rather than directly impacting the customer's on-site experience. The key difference is that one is customer-facing (Novo) and the other is operational (SKU Image Matcher). Given the provided data, Novo benefits from a positive rating and existing user feedback, while SKU Image Matcher currently lacks reviews. This should also be factored into the merchants' decision.
