Our Verdict
If you're a Shopify merchant primarily interested in a sleek, visually appealing, and highly customizable announcement ticker, especially one that can be tailored to different languages and products, Novo: Ticker & Marquee is a solid choice. Its focus on a single, well-executed feature could make it easier to manage. However, the limited number of reviews means proceed with caution. If you're looking for a more comprehensive suite of tools to boost sales, including banner sliders, pop-ups, countdown timers, and email sign-up forms, TA Banner Slider, Sales Pop up is the better option. Its high number of reviews suggests greater user satisfaction, although the breadth of features might require more setup and management.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Novo, focusing on a single ticker, is likely easier to set up initially. TA Banner Slider, with its multiple features, may require more time to configure optimally.
Which app offers better A/B testing capabilities?
TA Banner Slider offers 'Discount banner with Performance Analytics' suggesting they may provide some A/B testing or performance tracking. Novo doesn't mention any specific A/B testing capabilities.
Which app is better for international stores?
Novo explicitly supports multiple languages, making it the better choice for international stores looking to tailor announcements by language.
Which app is more focused on driving urgency?
TA Banner Slider with its 'Countdown timer & timer bar' is clearly the stronger choice for creating a sense of urgency to drive sales.
Which app is a better value for the price?
Without pricing information, it's impossible to determine the better value. Merchants should evaluate the features they need and compare pricing accordingly. If only needing an annoucement bar, Novo might be cheaper, where as if more features are needed, TA banner slider may be the better option overall.
