Our Verdict
The best choice depends entirely on the merchant's needs. If a merchant is struggling to find suitable stock photos and wants unique, commercially owned images for their blog, ads, or product pages, Octo ‑ AI Stock Photos & Image is the more appropriate choice, assuming its AI capabilities deliver satisfactory results. However, the lack of reviews is a major concern.
On the other hand, if the merchant's primary goal is to improve their website's loading speed and SEO performance, SEO Speed Image Optimizer is the clear winner. Its image resizing, alt text optimization, and bulk editing features directly address these concerns. The significantly higher rating and number of reviews provide confidence in its effectiveness and reliability. Given the importance of SEO in 2026, SEO Speed Image Optimizer is likely the more practical and beneficial choice for most merchants, unless they have a specific, unmet need for AI-generated visuals.
