Our Verdict
For merchants heavily reliant on promotions and discounts, and whose primary goal is to immediately draw customer attention to their best deals, Oftop ‑ Smart Collections might be the better choice. However, the lack of reviews is a significant risk. For merchants prioritizing a smooth shopping experience by ensuring that customers primarily see in-stock items and minimize frustration, Pushy | Out Of Stock Push Down is the stronger option. Its positive rating and focus on inventory management make it a reliable choice, especially for stores with frequent stock fluctuations.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Based on the descriptions, both appear to offer user-friendly interfaces. However, Pushy explicitly mentions configuration within the Shopify Admin and 'one-click enable,' suggesting a potentially simpler initial setup, though Oftop also emphasizes automation to minimize manual work.
Which app is more likely to increase sales?
Oftop aims to increase sales directly by highlighting discounted products. Pushy focuses on improving the shopping experience, which *can* lead to increased sales by reducing customer frustration and abandoned carts, but the link is less direct.
Which app is better for stores with frequent stock changes?
Pushy is specifically designed to handle frequent stock changes by automatically pushing out-of-stock items to the bottom and restoring them upon restock.
Which app offers more control over sorting?
Oftop offers more control over sorting, enabling merchants to set thresholds, pin products, and establish custom rules beyond simply moving sold-out items.
What is the biggest risk in choosing Oftop?
The biggest risk is the complete absence of reviews. Without any user feedback, it's impossible to assess the app's reliability, ease of use, or effectiveness in achieving its stated goals.
