Oftop ‑ Smart Collections vs Singleton | Variants in Listfor Shopify (2026)
Oftop ‑ Smart Collections and Singleton | Variants in List address distinct needs within Shopify collections. Oftop focuses on automated product sorting based on discounts and stock levels, aiming to improve merchandising with minimal merchant effort. It targets merchants seeking to highlight deals and optimize product visibility within collections dynamically. Singleton, on the other hand, prioritizes enhancing the customer shopping experience by displaying product variants with "add to cart" buttons directly on collection pages. It caters to merchants aiming to streamline the buying process and reduce clicks needed for customers to purchase variants. The primary difference lies in their core functionality. Oftop automates backend collection management to influence product presentation, while Singleton directly modifies the storefront's collection display to improve the shopping experience. Oftop emphasizes merchandising and promotion, whereas Singleton concentrates on usability and faster purchasing. A key consideration is the lack of reviews for Oftop, indicating a potential risk compared to the well-rated Singleton.

Our Verdict
Singleton | Variants in List is likely the better choice for most merchants in 2026 due to its proven track record (5/5 rating with 12 reviews). Its clear focus on improving the customer experience by streamlining variant selection addresses a common pain point. It is best suited for stores with many products with multiple variants, such as clothing, accessories, or customizable goods.
Oftop ‑ Smart Collections presents a higher risk due to the lack of reviews, but if the promise of automated discount-based sorting aligns perfectly with a store's merchandising strategy (e.g., running frequent sales and promotions), it might be worth exploring. However, given the absence of social proof, careful testing and monitoring would be essential.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Without reviews for Oftop, it's difficult to say for sure. However, given Oftop's focus on automation, setup *could* potentially be simpler. However, it is recommended that users proceed with caution due to lack of ratings.
Which app is better for stores with frequent sales?
Oftop is explicitly designed to highlight discounted products, making it potentially more suitable for stores with frequent sales. However, its value is not guaranteed, so users should proceed with caution.
Which app is better for stores with many product variants?
Singleton is specifically designed to improve the shopping experience for products with variants, making it the clear winner for stores with this characteristic. This is because it will improve the user experience when dealing with complex products.
Could these apps be used together?
Potentially, yes. Oftop could automatically sort products by discount, and then Singleton could display variants with 'Add to Cart' buttons. However, ensure both apps function correctly and do not negatively impact page load speed or conflict with each other.
What are the main drawbacks of each app?
The main drawback of Oftop is the lack of reviews, making it a risky choice. The main drawback of Singleton is that its functionality might not be necessary for stores with very simple product catalogs that do not utilize variants.
