OKURU Order SMS Notifications vs Trackable ‑ Order Statusfor Shopify (2026)
OKURU Order SMS Notifications and Trackable ‑ Order Status both aim to improve the post-purchase customer experience, but they approach this goal from different angles. OKURU focuses on proactive order updates via SMS, presumably targeting merchants who prioritize direct, immediate communication with their customers and value SMS marketing. Trackable, on the other hand, centers on empowering customers to self-serve order information through a dedicated order tracking page. This is a good choice for merchants who want to reduce customer support inquiries and offer a branded tracking experience. The core difference lies in communication method and level of control. OKURU pushes updates, while Trackable provides a pull mechanism. Trackable integrates directly with Shopify's order summary page and supported carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Canada Post), making it a more straightforward solution if a merchant already utilizes these services. OKURU's offering is implicitly carrier-agnostic given its SMS focus and implies a need for merchants to manage potentially additional SMS costs.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily reliant on SMS marketing and who want to provide immediate, proactive order updates, OKURU Order SMS Notifications is likely the better choice. However, be prepared to manage SMS costs and potentially more complex carrier integrations. The limited number of reviews should be considered.
Trackable ‑ Order Status is ideal for merchants looking for a simple and cost-effective way to reduce customer service inquiries related to order tracking. The key caveat is the reliance on Shopify's supported carriers. If you primarily use one of these carriers, Trackable provides a streamlined and easy-to-implement solution. Both apps have very high ratings, but the limited review count means you should do more research before committing.
