Omi vs Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reelfor Shopify (2026)
Omi and Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel offer distinct approaches to enhancing product presentation on Shopify. Omi focuses on interactive 3D product viewing, providing customers with a 360-degree perspective and augmented reality capabilities. This positions it as a tool for merchants selling products where detailed visualization is crucial, such as furniture, electronics, or complex designs. In contrast, Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel centers on leveraging video content, specifically short-form videos from platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok, to drive engagement and conversions. Whatmore is targeted towards merchants seeking to capitalize on the popularity of social media video trends and create shoppable experiences. The app streamlines the process of importing, tagging, and displaying videos, offering features like automated product tagging and video carousels. The difference lies in the content type and engagement style: Omi provides in-depth product exploration, while Whatmore offers dynamic, social-media-driven shopping. The stark difference in user reviews and ratings also suggests a significant disparity in user satisfaction and app performance between the two, favoring Whatmore.

Our Verdict
Based on the available information, Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel appears to be the stronger choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its high rating and substantial number of positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective app. Its focus on shoppable video content aligns with current e-commerce trends and offers a compelling way to engage customers and drive conversions. The AI product tagging and auto-sync features add significant value by simplifying the content creation process.
Omi, while offering an interesting feature set, suffers from a complete lack of reviews. This makes it difficult to assess its reliability and usability. It might be a suitable option for merchants with products that require detailed 3D visualization, but the risk associated with an untested app is considerable. Until Omi establishes a positive track record, Whatmore is the safer and likely more effective choice for boosting sales through visual content.
