Omnibus ‑ EU Compliant Price vs Rockit Discounts & Sales Appfor Shopify (2026)
Omnibus ‑ EU Compliant Price and Rockit Discounts & Sales App both aim to optimize pricing on Shopify stores, but they serve fundamentally different purposes. Omnibus focuses on legal compliance with the EU's Omnibus Directive, specifically addressing the requirement to display the lowest price of the past 30 days. Its strength lies in its ability to automatically track and display this information, preventing legal issues for merchants selling in the EU. It's designed for ease of use in terms of customizing the display and offers support for any issues. Rockit Discounts & Sales App, on the other hand, is a comprehensive sales and discount management tool. It offers features for creating flash sales, scheduling discounts, applying bulk price changes, and creating a sense of urgency with countdown timers and sale badges. It is designed for larger scale sales management rather than compliance. This makes it a better option for merchants prioritizing promotional strategies and revenue generation through discounts and sales events. The user must set up sales events manually or use the app's bulk editing capabilities. However it does offer extensive options for this type of discount setup, that Omnibus does not offer.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with adhering to EU pricing regulations, Omnibus ‑ EU Compliant Price is the clear choice. Its focused functionality and customizability of the displayed pricing make it a valuable tool for avoiding potential legal issues. The lack of many reviews is a point of concern, but if compliance is the sole goal, this app directly addresses that need.
If the merchant's main objective is to implement various sales and discount strategies to drive revenue, Rockit Discounts & Sales App is the more suitable option. Its robust features for bulk discounts, scheduled sales, and promotional displays provide a comprehensive toolkit for creating and managing sales campaigns. The high number of reviews suggests greater user satisfaction and reliability, further solidifying its position as the preferred choice for sales-focused merchants. A major risk of Omnibus is the extremely low number of reviews that can point to an unreliable app with potentially poor or no support.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?

Which app is better for a new Shopify store?
