Omnibus ‑ EU Compliant Price vs Singleton | Verify Customersfor Shopify (2026)
Omnibus ‑ EU Compliant Price and Singleton | Verify Customers are both Shopify apps with perfect 5/5 ratings, but they cater to vastly different needs. Omnibus focuses on legal compliance, specifically adhering to the EU's Omnibus Directive by automatically displaying the lowest price of a product over the past 30 days. It targets merchants selling to customers in the EU who need to avoid potential fines for non-compliance. Singleton | Verify Customers, on the other hand, centers around access control, allowing merchants to approve or decline customer registrations and restrict access to pricing and 'add to cart' functionality. The primary difference lies in their core functionality: Omnibus ensures legal compliance related to pricing transparency, while Singleton focuses on customer verification and selective access. Omnibus emphasizes ease of use through a customizable widget and direct support. Singleton offers extended registration forms and control over store content for unapproved users. Their target audience also differs considerably; Omnibus targets merchants selling in the EU, while Singleton is tailored for businesses requiring strict customer control, such as those selling wholesale, B2B, or age-restricted products.

Our Verdict
If you are selling to customers in the European Union, Omnibus ‑ EU Compliant Price is essential for ensuring compliance with the Omnibus Directive and avoiding potential legal issues. Its customizable widget makes implementation simple. If, however, you need to carefully control which customers have access to your products or pricing, especially in B2B or wholesale scenarios, Singleton | Verify Customers is the superior choice. Its focus on customer verification and access restriction provides valuable control over your customer base and sales processes.
While both apps have perfect ratings, the significant difference in the number of reviews suggests Singleton | Verify Customers has a larger and potentially more established user base, offering more confidence in its reliability and functionality, although it may not be relevant to your specific use case. Ultimately, the decision hinges on whether your priority is legal compliance or customer access control.
