Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking an all-in-one email and SMS marketing solution with robust automation capabilities and AI-powered copywriting, Omnisend is the better choice. Its comprehensive features and 24/7 support cater to businesses looking to scale their marketing efforts. However, merchants primarily interested in enhancing their on-site promotions and reducing abandoned carts through strategically placed and highly customizable popups will find Squirai more suitable.
Squirai excels in providing targeted popup solutions for specific scenarios like showcasing offers or preventing cart abandonment. Therefore, if a merchant already has an email marketing system in place but wants to improve on-site conversions and engagement using popups, Squirai is the clear winner. If they need a complete email and SMS solution with pop-up capabilities, Omnisend is the better bet.
Common Questions
Which app is better for building an email list?
Omnisend is designed to build email lists using a variety of signup forms, landing pages, and popups, making it a more comprehensive solution for email list growth compared to Squirai.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Squirai likely has a shorter learning curve due to its focus on popups. Omnisend's more extensive features may require more time to learn and configure.
Which app is more cost-effective for a small business?
It depends on the pricing structure in 2026 (which is not specified above) and the merchant's usage. However, if a small business only needs popups, Squirai may be more affordable than Omnisend's more comprehensive plan.
Which app offers better support?
Omnisend states that they offer 24/7 email & live chat support for all users, even free users, suggesting a higher level of support compared to Squirai (for which support information is not available).
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, but it might be redundant. If a merchant uses Omnisend, they likely won't need Squirai's basic popup features. If they need very specific types of popups they cant find in Omnisend they might use both but this is unusual.
