OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on vs Poplar AR/3D product viewerfor Shopify (2026)
OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on and Poplar AR/3D product viewer both aim to enhance the online shopping experience through immersive technologies, falling under the 3D/AR/VR Shopify category. However, they adopt distinct approaches. OnYou focuses on the fashion industry, providing an AI-powered virtual try-on experience that allows customers to visualize clothing on themselves by uploading a photo. Its strength lies in personalization, size recommendations, and lead generation through its email capture tool. It positions itself as a tool to reduce returns and increase sales specifically for fashion brands. In contrast, Poplar AR/3D product viewer's description is absent, and it has zero reviews and a zero rating, making direct feature comparison challenging. While both apps share the 3D/AR/VR category, Poplar's specific focus and value proposition remain unknown based on the provided information. A crucial difference is the social proof and validation; OnYou has a perfect rating, albeit from a small sample size (4 reviews), indicating early positive experiences, which is completely missing for Poplar.
