OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on vs Premium AR/3D Viewerfor Shopify (2026)
Both OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on and Premium AR/3D Viewer aim to enhance the online shopping experience using augmented reality and 3D technology, but they target different aspects of product visualization. OnYou focuses on providing a virtual try-on experience specifically for fashion brands, allowing customers to upload a photo and virtually 'try on' clothes. Its key strengths lie in AI-powered personalization, including size recommendations and a shopping assistant to guide customers. Premium AR/3D Viewer, on the other hand, concentrates on allowing customers to view products from every angle in 3D, with a feature allowing 3D viewing via Appless AR, targeting merchants who need to showcase all aspects of their products with 360-degree views. The primary difference lies in the application of AR/3D. OnYou uses AI to create a personalized 'try-on' simulation for fashion, aiming to reduce returns and increase sales through tailored recommendations and email lead capture. Premium AR/3D Viewer provides a generalized 360-degree product viewing experience, likely suited for a wider range of product categories that benefit from detailed visual inspection before purchase, focusing on providing complete visual information about the product but does not offer the personalized AI-driven features of OnYou.

Our Verdict
For fashion retailers seeking to provide a personalized and engaging shopping experience, OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on is the clear choice. Its AI-powered virtual try-on, size recommendations, and shopping assistant directly address the needs of clothing and apparel businesses. The one-click integration and lead capture tool are valuable additions.
Premium AR/3D Viewer is better suited for merchants selling products where detailed visual inspection is crucial, such as furniture, electronics, or home goods. The ability to view products from every angle in 3D provides customers with a comprehensive understanding of the product's features and design. While it lacks the AI-driven personalization of OnYou, its focus on detailed product visualization makes it a strong option for businesses outside of fashion that need to showcase their products in a realistic and engaging way.
